VMZ Berlin Betreibergesellschaft mbH is a company of Siemens Mobility GmbH and focuses on the development of mobility and traffic management solutions.

VMZ develops innovative IT solutions such as mobility platforms, route planners and mobility apps, using the latest technologies and tools to implement creative solutions quickly and efficiently. We operate the Traffic Information Center for the state of Berlin. On the information portal viz.berlin.de we offer numerous mobility services for Berlin and Brandenburg. Together with the most modern traffic control center in Europe, we form an internationally renowned traffic management competence center.

We operate at the interface between research, industry, administration and the public and make a major contribution to the sustainable optimization of urban mobility.  Your area of responsibility includes:

  • Product Owner for our mobility app and our route planner including roadmap planning and strategic development
  • Assumption of operational responsibility for (international) customer projects
  • Recognition of potentials and support in the further development of our customer projects
  • Planning and execution of the project plans from the offer phase to implementation and productive operation
  • Recording, understanding and evaluation of customer requirements as well as their derivation and coordination with our in-house software development
  • Ensuring the targeted flow of information and adherence to deadlines within our teams and to our customers and partners

What you should bring:

  • Successfully completed university studies or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in project management or in the management of sub-projects in the field of software development, ideally in the mobility sector
  • Independent, structured and goal-oriented work in interdisciplinary teams
  • Competent contact person (m/f/d) for customers, partners, development teams and company management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident knowledge of German and English, written and spoken

We at VMZ Berlin Betreibergesellschaft mbH plan urban mobility. And we design, develop and operate innovative software and information services for the mobility of innovative and livable cities. We do this for Berlin and other German cities, for transport companies but also for customers in the classic enterprise environment.

As an addition to our specialist teams in Berlin, we are looking for a student marketing expert to communicate our innovative mobility solutions in a targeted and modern way in the right media and networks.

 Your area of responsibility includes:

  • Preparation of content and posting of contributions in a content management system (e.g. WordPress)
  • You will work with us on the conception of company-internal websites and landing pages and will work on these
  • You research and write articles for external, German and English communication channels, e.g. websites, blogs, communities and social media
  • Image and graphics processing with Gimp, Scribus, inkscape, etc., briefing of graphics service providers
  • You support us in media monitoring
  • You work directly with the teams from the specialist departments
  • You support the preparation and implementation of trade fair activities (promotional material, flyers, trade fair participation, etc.).
  • You create press releases for the different areas of the VMZ

What you should bring:

  • You are studying media sciences, communication sciences, humanities or a comparable course of studies.
  • You have a fast writing skills, you have fun with the topic research as well as in the text and picture editing.
  • You have a very good command of spoken and written English
  • You are familiar with social media such as blogs, LinkedIn, Youtube and Twitter
  • You work independently, reliably and have an eye for details, e.g. proofreading.

You should bring in:

  • At least 2 years professional experience in a comparable position
  • Very good knowledge about Docker
